Diabetes Treatment and Management by Steven Ferrucci, O.D. (COPE ID: 69508-SD)  This course provides an introduction to diabetes, with an emphasis on Type 2. The systemic medications used for the treatment of diabetes are reviewed, with some of the common side effects. The second part of the lecture is a review of the newest diabetic retinopathy classification and management recommendations. 2 hours

Refer or Relax: Macula by Steven Ferrucci, O.D. (pending) This course discusses cases encountered in the primary care ODs office, and asks if this is something that we can monitor ourselves relax or refer to a retinal specialist for further treatment. Clinical pearls regarding follow up and appropriate referral criteria are presented  1 hour

Understanding and Interpreting the OCTA by Steven Ferrucci, O.D. (COPE Pending) This course explains the theory behind OCT Angiography, and explains how it is used clinically. It also discusses its advantages over other imaging modalities, most notably traditional OCT and Fluorescein Angiography. Case examples are used to depict how this technology can be used to treat and manage patients with retinal disease in the primary care optometric clinic. 1 hour

Nutrition and the Retina by Steven Ferrucci, O.D. The latest research regarding nutrition and diabetes, as well as other retinal diseases, will be discussed. 1 hour

Scotomas of Practice Profitability by Ryan Parker, O.D. (COPE ID: 72449-PM) This class explores how many key performance indicators are related and how we can make changes to become more profitable. By applying the concepts discussed our practices will be transformed into dominant profit centers, not just a place to sell glasses. The key to profit is understanding capture rate. We will talk about how to use tried and true retail rules and adapt them to increase capture rate. 1 hour

We will explore a step-by-step process that simplifies the process and makes it easy to repeat. This course will show how to rate each staff members performance and what to do with that information to develop each staff member. Proper staff development will lead to happier staff members and a more productive team. We will also discuss the difference between leadership and management and which is most important in an optometric office. 1 hour
