Announcements(3/19/20) A message from the State Board of Optometry: Due to the state of emergency declared concerning the Covid-19 by the Governor of Arkansas, the Arkansas State Board of Optometry is suggesting that each optometrist follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the Arkansas Department of Health Guidance for healthcare providers.https://www.healthy.arkansas.gov/programs-services/topics/covid-19-guidance-for-healthcare-providers The Board suggests postponing routine eye exams and limit appointments to essential visual medical needs. All our doctors should use their professional judgement in assessing the urgency for care of the patient, as well as timing of necessary preventative care. We are in a rapidly changing landscape at this time so the Board of Optometry will continue to be in contact with the Department of Health as this health emergency evolves and will keep each optometrist informed.
